How does your service work? Cable? DSL? Fiber?

RidgeComms is a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP).  We connect to fiber in Marshall and use state-of-the-art wireless relay sites to bring it to your location.

Do I need to have a satellite dish?

Sometimes we use dishes and sometimes a small box to receive service at your location, but the dishes are not satellite dishes. RidgeComms service does not use satellite technologies.

Can you provide service to my residence or business?

What speeds do you offer?

Our minimum speed plan is 1 – 2 Megabits per second (Mbps) and can go up to 15 Mbps, or higher, depending on your location. Most of our customers find these speeds work just fine for their home or business needs. However, we can offer custom installations and speeds should you need them. Will your lowest speeds support live streaming video?

It depends on the streaming device and service you are using.  We’ve seen Netflix work on a Roku streaming device at 1 Mbps, but the picture improves at higher speeds.

Who do I call for support?

RidgeComms is known for our responsiveness to your support needs. The quickest way to reach us is to email us your support request.

What should I do in a power outage?

When experiencing a power outage, your Internet access may be interrupted. If this happens, just wait until your power comes back on, and your Internet should be back up as well!

Privacy Policy for RidgeComms

At RidgeComms, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by RidgeComms and how we use it.

Log Files

RidgeComms follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Children’s Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

RidgeComms does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Online Privacy Policy Only

This privacy policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in RidgeComms. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
